Join The Palmeira Practice
We have a new consulting room at our Church Road premises! Anyone who wants to join the Practice is extremely welcome to get in touch. However we do have some priorities that we know will meet the demands of our clients. We are keen to recruit therapists to join the Practice in this order of priority:
1. Someone looking to work on Saturdays or Sundays,
2. A therapist who identifies as BAME,
3. Someone trained and able to work with trauma presentations using a recognised approach,
4. A CBT practitioner (either exclusively or integratively),
5. Or, if you can offer a specialism not already covered within the Practice (you can view current specialisms on the Palmeira Practice website).

The Palmeira Practice is a growing community of therapists who recognise the mutually beneficial opportunities available from working together. We operate out of two practice rooms in Brighton and Hove, and share marketing opportunities and resources to enhance and increase our individual caseloads, as well as bringing a richer experience to clients themselves by being able to offer flexibility for their schedules and a range of expertise.
At the Palmeira Practice you will get equality from the start. We won't call you an 'Associate', tuck your profile away on page 8 of the website, or put you on a scheme that limits your income! With the Palmeira Practice you will get front page from day one.
By joining The Palmeira Practice you'll be able to use our practice spaces in Brighton and Hove. Our rooms are:
Cleanly decorated and sympathetically furnished
Close to transport links and with ample on-street metered parking
Designed to be the perfect space for therapy work
Our rooms are based at Palmeira Square.
Our package includes marketing support and guidance, primarily focused around digital marketing. Our marketing expert is steadily building our social media channels, and provides SEO guidance to ensure our website is well optimised for potential clients. A budget for PPC advertising is also provided to draw traffic into the site.
A web profile
Every counsellor and psychotherapist who joins The Palmeira Practice is provided with an online profile page, detailing their expertise and training to clients. This provides a hub for clients to read about you and the work you do, and provides somewhere for you to send your clients to find information.
Demonstrate your expertise
You are provided with a blogging platform, allowing you to share your expertise with potential clients. We find that this helps clients understand more about your work, and also provides them with a sense of credibility, as you are able to demonstrate your knowledge before they choose to sign up for a session with you. Our counsellors often receive direct enquiries based on their articles and content.*
Your articles will also benefit from some editing from our SEO expert, as well as an outreach process to ensure it gets shared among the right groups.
*Any blog posts that you submit to The Palmeira Practice will remain the intellectual property of the practice, and will remain active on our website even if you end your work with us.
More of your ideal clients
As mentioned, we aim to match our clients with the ideal therapist, but the same is true vice versa. The Palmeira Practice recognises that counsellors have different areas of expertise. We currently have counsellors specialising in drug and alcohol issues, trauma-informed approaches, working with young people, and more.
We believe this diversity is what makes for a great group practice, and that we can use this within the practice to bring clients to the most suitable counsellor for their needs (if applicable). This means you’re able to utilise your specific knowledge base with those clients that most need it.

Costs for the practice are £25 per month membership fee which goes toward the marketing budget, and your allotted room hire costs. We have a limited number of discounted 'reserve' slots for practitioners who are building up their caseload with us from scratch. A minimum of four hours need to be booked for membership.
There is a four week holiday allowance on room slots too, during which you won't be charged for your room usage. We also don't charge for bank holidays, unless you'd like to use the room.
