Associate members of the Palmeira Practice (PP) are independent practitioners with their own consulting room, or home online practice. They do not hire consulting rooms from the Palmeira Practice, and neither are they based in another Practice or Clinic. Associate members enjoy many of the benefits the Practice has to offer without renting one of our consulting rooms.

The scheme is strictly limited in number and a waiting list will operate if the scheme becomes full.

April 2024 - We are NOT currently recruiting to our Associate Scheme; for the time being only applications for Standard Membership are being accepted.

Criteria 

Anyone wishing to be an associate member must: 

(a) be a registered member of the BACP, NCS or UKCP or other established accrediting body, and

(b) have at least three years post-qualification experience working with clients. 

Conditions 

  • Associate membership is not available to practitioners who rent consulting room space directly from the Practice (there is a three month grace period between leaving the Practice standard membership and applying for an Associate membership)

  • The notice period is one month

  • You are required to provide a photo of your consulting room for use on the PP website (not applicable for online only referrals)

  • Your practice must be based in the greater Brighton and Hove area (Shoreham to Newhaven/Lewes) if offering face-to-face work. There are no location criteria if offering online only work

  • You cannot be an associate member with PP whilst also practising as part of a different clinic, and using our associate scheme referrals to fill your sessions in another clinic

Pricing 

  • There is a deposit of £75

  • There is a one-off fee per referral you accept. The client referral fee is £75 per client or £100 for a couples referral. The fee is charged once a client has attended a session after the initial appointment.

 Referrals

All PP client referrals come through the Practice Manager/Referrals Coordinator, so you will be expected to keep our vacancy platform up to date so that we know what your current availability is. Referrals are chargeable once a client has attended a session after the initial appointment.
