The Palmeira Practice provides private therapy, which means you will need to pay for sessions. Each of our associates’ fees can be seen on their profile page. You can discuss the fees with your chosen therapist once we put them in touch with you, they will be clear if their session price is fixed or if they have any concessionary spaces.

We understand that not everyone can afford private therapy. Here are some options you can consider.

NHS Talking Therapies

The NHS provides free, confidential talking therapies for adults (18+) struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, or phobias.

•      Access: You can self-refer directly without seeing a GP, or ask a GP to refer you.

•      Format: Sessions can be face-to-face, via video, telephone, or through online courses.

•      Types: Offers NICE-recommended therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service is where you can access these NHS services for adults and children and young people if you have a postcode beginning BN1, BN2, BN3 or BN41.

Consider these options:

Samaritans: Free, 24/7 listening support for anyone in distress. Call 116 123. https://www.samaritans.org/

Shout: Free 24/7 text support. Text “SHOUT” to 85258.

You can also make an emergency appointment with your own GP to discuss what support you can get.
