Tanya works within a framework that values the diversity of our experiences, who we are and life in all its contradictions, experiences and challenges. She therefore aims to approach each individual with respect regarding personal circumstances, cultural & social contexts Tanya aims to support you to build on your internal resources/skills and resiliency with regards to the challenges or experiences you wish to explore. In the initial conversations, Tanya will support you to identify a focus for the therapy, which will enable conversations to stay on track.
Tanya has some useful creative tools to use in the work for example sand tray, mindfulness, the use of art or working actively with the imagination. Tanya also utilises CBT and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) that can work well with areas such as anxiety or trauma.
In all her work, Tanya has the aim of being with you in a supportive and respectful way that enables you to move towards your hopes and aims. The work can be challenging too and so she encourages a compassionate approach throughout.
